1. Upcoming events
12.1. CONDUS’ FIRST BOARD MEETING
The first board meeting will be held on Tuesday 12.1.2016. Positions will be assigned for all members and officials will be selected. If you want to become active in Condus or would otherwise like to be present, welcome to Gustavus Rex (Leppäsuonkatu 11) at 5:30pm.
5.-7.2. CONDUS GOES TAHKO (event is full)
Time to dig out skiing boots and skis and head to the slopes on Friday 5.2. A full bus with happy students will head to Tahko, a skiing resort in the middle of Finland.
9.2. SHROVE TUESDAY & EVENING PARTY
On Shrove Tuesday, 9.2.2016, it’s time to find you something that passes for a sled and head on over to Kaivopuisto, Helsinki! Students from all over are showing up for an action-packed afternoon outdoors – so why not you as well? The best time to enjoy the great outdoors is between 1PM and 5PM. Grab a sled, dress warm and come join the festivities! In the evening it’s time to warm up in Kaivohuone at a huge student party, where six faculties come together to celebrate Shrove Tuesday. 25.-26.2. COOMDUS-cruise
Ahoy! Condus members will take over the Gulf of Finland on a 22h cruise in February. Sign-up will begin on Monday 11.1. at 10:00am. Gather a four-person crew and head out on the waves! You can book a buffet dinner or a breakfast buffet and the TaxFree shop will be open both days. Further info and sign-up link can be found on Facebook.

Condus board 2015 wants to thank everyone at the faculty for the past year filled with friendship and collaboration. We wish you a wonderful new year!
Condus’ 2015 board would like to hear what you have to say about us. All feedback and suggestions for improvement are welcome! We believe in continuous improvement and we’d like to make 2016 the best it can be. By giving feedback you can enter a raffle to win two movie tickets! Give feedback by 21.1. here.
3. Educational policy
Teaching development day 16.12.
OLARE, a committee within our faculty arranged an event, with emphasis on how to improve teaching in the faculty. The audience was subdivided into groups, which were assigned to brainstorm great teaching methods and practices. Despite the time of the year the attendance was fairly good and most subjects were represented.

Thank you everyone who participated in educational policy matters in 2015 and a special thanks for student representatives and volunteers! The upcoming year will be at least as challenging as the last one but with seamless cooperation and hard work we can turn challenges into opportunities!
4. Environment
Condus’ environmental committee has raised as much as 150€ in 2015 by badge sales. The entire sum will be donated for charity to WWF to protect the Eastern Sea. Special thanks to everyone who has bought the badge.
Recycling method at Gustavus Rex have been improved! The goal was to make recycling easier and more accessible in our beloved Gustavus Rex. We encourage all students to use the recycling bags and help the environment in the process!
